The Personal Touch (25XP)

Major Goals

The HG can award you 5 XP towards this quest when: You learn something that profoundly changes your relationship with something - a friend, an enemy, a situation, your hometown, maybe even yourself. Something inherently scary - like a murderer, a secret police officer, an unnameable horror, or something that cannot possibly be an angel - runs away from you in fear. You change the mood of a crowd with an unrehearsed impromptu speech. You can earn each bonus once, for a total of up to 15 XP.

Quest Flavor 1/chapter, you can earn a bonus XP towards this quest for: go about your work day in a hidden location talk back to your superiors take a break during particularly suspenseful action to stop and admire… the weather. talk about your past history with a major figure in this Arc become trapped in a box, cage, or other confined space receive help from an unexpected source raise your hands to the sky as birds, bats, winged snakes, or a swarm of some other flying beasts rises into the air behind you You can combine this with an XP Action, but you’re not required to.

The Personal Touch (Simplified) (20XP)

Major Goals

The HG can award you 5 XP towards this quest when: Your relationship with someone changes, unexpectedly You wrestle physically or verbally with a twin, doppleganger, clone, mystical spirit, or other construct. You can earn each bonus once, for a total of up to 10 XP.

Quest Flavor 1/chapter, you can earn a bonus XP towards this quest for: make a communication from a hidden location take a break during particularly suspenseful action to stop and admire… the weather. talk to a major antagonist about why you are facing them talk to a major antagonist about how you are feeling about facing them take vengeance for a friend experience a feeling of deep calm in a profoundly stressful situation You can combine this with an XP Action, but you’re not required to.
